Cordus affected by Microsoft Exchange Server security breach

Important information on data protection violations!

 

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

Unfortunately, we have to inform you about a data protection violation at our company, Cordus GmbH. Our mail server (off-line address book) is affected by the current warning from the BSI about a security hole in Microsoft Exchange.
Since a criminal act took place here and Cordus took all measures to protect the data in advance, Cordus is not to blame here. This incident was proactively reported to the TLfDi, as data from natural persons are affected.

According to Art. 33 and 34 GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), we are obliged to inform all data subjects that the protection of personal data has been breached.
We would like to ask you in any case, when you should receive doubtful or not clearly traceable e-mails with Cordus sender, to briefly contact with the sender personally, whether these e-mails were actually sent by us.
